From East Croydon railway station, right alongside Vita and the Ruskin Square development, it's only 16 minutes to the City of London financial centre, 20 minutes or so to the West End, and there are many more fast and fantastic links by rail, road and air.
A modern European city
Transport is one of the many reasons that Croydon is at the forefront of a new movement in UK urban revival. The vision is to create a new, modern European city-within-a city, transforming Croydon’s metropolitan centre into a new quarter of London, where business, life and leisure can live and work happily together, for everyone’s benefit.
Major urban investment
Over the course of the next five years, the plan is to create a total of over 8,000 new homes, up to 2.8 million square feet of office space, seven new hotels, 28 public squares and piazzas, the UK’s largest educational investment programme, and still more investment in even better transport links. Vita is at the very start of this programme.
Prestigious, secure, affordable apartments in one of the world's most sought after cities.
Where modern meets traditional
Literally minutes from the centre of London, Vita offers luxurious metropolitan living, securely, affordably and conveniently, in a unique part of the city that has every amenity and its own vibrant community.
In 3,200 square miles, over 5,000 square kilometres, metropolitan London has more than 13.5 million people, making it Europe’s largest city, as well as a world-class financial centre, shopping and entertainments venue, and arguably, the cultural capital of the world.
Croydon sits directly to the south of the City’s centre, between 14 and 16 minutes away by rail, and over the next five years will a see a massive £5.25 billion investment in a significant regeneration programme.
Choose from over 160 beautifully designed, high quality homes in a stylish and unusual apartment building, in a lavish 9-acre public square, next door to what is soon to be South London’s biggest and most exciting new shopping and leisure centre.
Get to almost anywhere you want to be in Europe’s most vibrant capital city. Croydon’s location means that it’s easy to get into and easy to get out of. Less than an hour from Heathrow, just under a quarter of an hour from Gatwick airport. It’s also, as you’ll discover, a great place to be when you’re there.
Croydon already has so much to offer. The new Croydon will have even more.
Croydon is famous as a home for many internationally known businesses, and for its transport links and tram network. It’s a place that works hard but enjoys itself too. The town centre is already a brilliant shopping centre with over 200 stores, and the new Westfield and Hammerson development will more than double that.
Croydon also has many well-known cafes, bars and public houses; restaurants serving the cuisines of many different nations; cinemas, theatre space, arts centres, music and comedy venues, and one of the UK’s best known arts, entertainment and conference complexes, the Fairfield Halls.
Old meets new to great effect
There have been successive waves of development in Croydon over the years. So it’s used to old meeting new, and retains many fine buildings, including two palaces. It also has 21 conservation areas, many parks, woods and open spaces, 7 golf courses in the area, clubs for most major sports, and the famous Epsom racecourse is just over half an hour away.
With the arrival of new investment, including Vita, Ruskin Square, and the new retail and leisure centre, a new, more modern urban culture will develop, adding to the vibrant community that already exists, helping make this rapidly growing new quarter of London prosperous and successful.
